The blade is a broad drop point with a deep thumb hole opener. It has been revealing and shipping new models, not least of which is a button lock Elementum and the aforementioned Brazen. The Riffle is designed and produced by CIVIVI. All these Riffles come equipped with the standard Civivi loop over pocket clip, and weigh around 3.4 oz.Ĭivivi had a quiet beginning to 2021 but things are definitely heating up. As is the Civivi M.O., the liner lock Riffle is rolling out out with multiple handle scale options: you can pick it up with one of three different colors of Micarta, sandalwood (with Damascus blade), or even a carbon fiber laminate on G-10 variant. #Civivi riffle fullLooking at the handle, there’s a gradual, gentle downward curve toward the butt end, evoking the pistol grip style without full committing to it. For those who don’t know or have forgotten, 14C28N is a beginner-friendly stainless that brings decent performance across the board and is particularly impressive in the corrosion resistance department all in all, a more than adequate steel for EDC slicing, snipping, and piercing. It was also an option for the recently revealed Brazen model (at least in its drop point configuration), so maybe this is a steel Civivi wants to continue working with. The blade steel is neither D2 or 9Cr18MoV – two of Civivi’s commonest picks – but 14C28N, a stainless that isn’t completely unheard of in their lineup, but in shorter supply than the other two.
